The League: Selective Dating App Launches in India with Bespoke Mumbai and Delhi Rollouts
The League, a selective dating app for ambitious, like-minded professionals, has officially launched in India with tailored rollouts in Mumbai and Delhi, Business Today reports. The move marks the app’s first expansion into Asia and aims to introduce its invite-only model and curated matching approach to India’s growing premium dating market.
According to Business Today, The League differentiates itself by prioritising verified profiles and compatibility over casual convenience. Prospective members must apply with a verified email address or LinkedIn account and receive an endorsement from an existing member before gaining access. Once admitted, members are presented with daily matches and invited to exclusive in-person events intended to foster authentic connections within a trusted network.
To support its India debut, The League has formed The League Circle, a founding group of cultural tastemakers in Mumbai and Delhi chosen to reflect the app’s values of ambition, refinement and intentionality. The Circle will help shape the early community, co-create premium experiences and advise on how the platform should align with the expectations of India’s aspirational dating audience.
“The League is designed for ambitious people who know what they want, in life, in love, and in a partner. It’s a lifestyle ecosystem where members connect with others who move at the same pace, share the same values, and prioritise compatibility over convenience. The League curates matches to create a space where dating is elevated and connections go beyond fleeting interactions,” said Anukool Kumar, Sr. Director, India & Middle East, Match Group, in remarks carried by Business Today.
The League’s India launch will initially focus on curated, city-specific experiences while the app assesses demand and community growth. The app is now available to download on both the App Store and Google Play Store.
